Security vetting

Cintra's policy is that all linguists working with us for public sector clients must have security vetting, as interpreters may work with vulnerable adults and children, or in sensitive situations.

Examples of vetting include Disclosure and Barring Service checks, counter-terrorism checks and non-police personnel vetting.

The check is carried out on recruitment (unless the linguist already has a current clearance) and regularly afterwards.

For all linguists new to Cintra, checks are carried out in accordance with the Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Act 2006 to ensure that candidates have the legal right to work in the UK.
